Thank You for Lettin Me Be Myself Again Bass Tab

  1. Ok, and then im sure this question has been asked earlier, or something like it. And so...I've but discovered how cool Sly and the family are...wicked ring. And, equally I'grand really starting to get...well, improve than crap at slapping, Cheers for talkin to me africa sounds like a cool song to piece of work on the slap with. Trouble is, all the tabs Ive seen are the same, and none of them await quite right. Ideally id like a guitar pro file, that shows the rhythm of the song besides as what notes to play, but id settle for an explanation of the vocal or of a tab.I could work it out myself, but i figured id ask beforehand, merely in example theres someone here who can give me an easy respond.Cause you guys generally are awesome like that. Thank you a bunch for any input.
  2. Hey man, i don't post here much but I only figured that line out recently (awesome song!!) so i'll attempt to interruption information technology downwards for yous. Afterward popping the first notation (the m on the d string), pop it again while slapping the low g at the aforementioned time. Then slide that octave up to A letting the frets on the d string ring and give the the depression A a slap...

    ---------------/-----------
    --5--5(sl)7----/-------v-7-
    ---------------/-----------
    -----three(sl)five--v--/----------

For the octave, try just popping with your index like normal with your thumb raised, and slam your thumb downwardly at the verbal moment the popular is played so that the two notes band out as a double stop.

For the fills it probably best to improvise. Haven't got the song on me so I tin't make sure, but I'k pretty certain it's in A. If not, just motion the design upwards or down. Probably all-time not to be too aggressive with the slapping either, merely it's just getting the slap and pop in unision that'south the tricky chip. Hope that helps!:bassist:

  3. Wow, thats SO much different to what ive seen of peoples interpretations and then far.Heres what ive seen so far:

    G -------------9---7---nine---------------9---vii----|
    D ----------------------------------------------|
    A ----5---7------------------five---7--------------|
    E -7--------------------------------------------|
    s due south due south p p p due south s p p

    Chiliad -------------9---7----ix---------------9----seven--|
    D ----------------------------------------------|
    A -----5---vii-----------------5/7----------------|
    Due east -seven------------------------------0-------------|
    s s s p p p s s p p

and its clearly wrong. Thanks a lot for that, i didnt await the double stops but im certain ill get the hang of it after some practice. Thank you once again bro :D

  4. I don't know this song, only i wonder how the h___ do you lot manage to slap and pop simultaneously? I've tried it sometimes but that seems to be impossible, at least for me.... I'd rather slap "vertically" in that case on both the Due east and D strings and make sure the A is muted...
  5. Yeah, slystone take another vocal called Thank you (Falettinme Bee Mice Elf Agin) and thats the one in East. Entirely different bassline in speed and rhythm, I can run into how you were dislocated:D The slap/pop thing at the aforementioned fourth dimension is used in a few Flea licks (Power Of Equality, Hump De Bump, Yertle the Turtle) and its a absurd technique for chords - think of it equally i motion every bit opposed to ii at the aforementioned time: pop the cord up in the aforementioned hand motion every bit you bring downwardly your thumb and work on making it audio correct. It is kind of tricky at first. You tin kind of get the same sound just smashing both strings with a mute as you said.
  6. Well, that IS kinda disruptive, especially considering in the song 'Thank you for talkin to me africa' near the only lyrics are "Thank you for lettin be myself again".Ah well.Id kinda rather work on getting information technology right than but smashing the strings.
  7. In "Hump de Bump" Flea isn't slapping and popping at the same time, merely popping both strings at the same time. He just grabs the ii strings, thumb on the lower cord, index on the higher, and pulls. I don't know how to play the other two songs, so I can't comment on those.
  8. Since trying to play this song a chip (note : trying), the easiest way to perform the double stop is to play it like a REALLY quick double octave. Striking the first high G, and so super quickly hitting the low, hold and movement to the high again, and slide both up to A.Pretty piece of cake, once you get the hang of it. So its not Actually a strict double end, but a super quick octave.
